Who Am I?

Who Am I? Do you know who I am?

In this guessing game, each player is given a name, but they don't know what name they are given. Each player's goal is to correctly guess who they are by asking a variety of yes or no questions.

Experience

Who am I? is great for large groups. If you are in need of a last minute game, this is the one! I think this is one of the simplest games to setup, explain and understand. Though it really can stump people also. By asking yes or no questions you get closer to figuring out who you are, but sometimes who you think you are is so way off. It's great for laughs since those questions asked could be the complete opposite of the career, personality, or characteristics of the person you are given. For such a simple game, it is surprisingly fun and a great way to break the ice.

How to Play
  • For each player, write down the name of a famous/well-known person (e.g., George Clooney) or character (from a tv show, movie, etc) on either a sticky note (preferably a piece of paper with tape, so it doesn't come off easily). But, don't let the person who you will give that name to, see the name.
  • Then place the name on the other person, where they can't see the name (e.g., their forehead or shoulder).
  • Once everyone has a name stuck on their body, the game starts.
  • Choose a player to start asking yes or no questions. For each round, each player asks one yes or no question, going clockwise.
  • The game ends depending on how the group wants it to end. For example, the game can end when the first person guesses their name correctly, after a certain number of rounds, or when all players have either correctly guessed their name or given up.
